A Swedish innovation

It all began in the kitchen

There should be a home extinguisher that no one hesitates to use. That was the thought that drove Andreas Westberg. With his experience as an airport fire fighter in the military he had long sought a better extinguishing method for his own home, without finding any. Then one day, while making sparkling water in his kitchen, he had an idea. What if the CO2 cylinder could be used to fight fires? This was the birth of Firemill.

Andreas’ brother Martin had entrepreneurial experience from starting hotels and restaurant chains around the world. Together they started the company Inventi Vidi to develop and produce the Firemill.

With every purchase you contribute to a better world.

Our efforts for the burned victims

Martin’s international experience and his connection to India via his wife Naiyya led to the decision to use Firemill to give something back to society. Through Firemill, they would support the International Foundation for Crime Prevention and Victim Care (PCVC) and their project Vidiyal who brings care and rehabilitating to women burn survivors in Chennai, India. The women, who often have been exposed to fire as part of domestic violence, bear a double burden – the burn in itself and the social stigma that follows. In addition, the women are often forced to return to the environment in which they were exposed to the abuse.

When you buy a Firemill at ordinary price in the web shop 50 SEK is automatically donated to Vidiyal. The money goes to clean sheets and dressings during the emergency phase after the injury, and to social support for the women and their children. If you like, you can of course choose to donate a greater amount to Vidiyal yourself.
